San Diego vacation : )

A friend of mine from college, Jamie, lives out in California. Oceanside to be exact. Her husband has been in Iraq for 7 months and I promised I would go out and see her during his deployment. Well, with about 3 weeks left I finally made it out there. It was a great trip, nice and relaxing. We did a few touristy things (in-and-out burger, La Jolla, Del Corando) but for the most time we just hung out and soaked up the sun. It was so incredible to see her as a mother, her baby is now 16 months. As usual, I took about 1,000 pictures - Alex was such a good subject. We went to the beach at Hotel del Corando and got some GREAT shots of him. Here is a collage of several pictures.

Burbabies!

I've been working in starting an online store. I'm getting closer to "opening" it...I'll be selling handmade baby gifts. Items that are great for baby shower presents or when a little one arrives -- burp cloths, bibs, diaper bag tags, and hair clips. I'm currently working on my inventory but tonight I think I've finalized the tags that I'll be attaching to the gifts.

Monday! yay!

Weekdays don't differ much from the weekends for me. I've been sitting on the couch all morning looking for jobs online as well as a few other things....patio furniture, night stands, and fabric!

Jamie, just for you I'm going to try and post a few pics of our house. We are renting right now, with with the option to buy. As of right now we don't think we want to buy the house. The neighborhood isn't the greatest. If you're familiar with Churchill in Richmond...same type of thing!

Finally figuring this out...

As computer literate as I think I am, this whole blogging thing is kinda hard! Thanks to Jamie, I figured out how to get a cool background. Now I guess all I need is something to "blog" about! This really is a great way to update family and friends, I just don't have much to update about my life. Once we have kids this might be more interesting!

my first photo shoot!

I would love to really get into photography - I still have A LOT to learn though. I was asked by a friend of my sisters to take some pictures of her little girl. Her mother handmade Ella's Christening gown so she wanted to get some good pictures of it. Although she was crying the entire time I was taking pictures there were several that turned out great!

Thanksgiving in Miami!



Tim and I spent Thanksgiving alone in Miami this year. We had a great time - I guess its hard to mess up this holiday! It may have looked as though we were cooking for 1o...but it was just us. Here are a few pics of the long weekend : )
